Free Battery Charging Animation App. Honestly, I went through a period of time where I used to consume my mobile covers without caring how it will look while charging. I would just plug it in, throw it on the table, and forget about it. However, I had recently discovered battery charging animation apps, and I just could not roll back to that boring old default screen.
If you’re about what I am — a 25-year-old who enjoys some flair and personality in everything you own — this is one of those minor upgrades that ends up being remarkably gratifying.

Battery Charging Animation App
A battery charging animation app essentially alters the look of your screen when you set your phone to charge. Undoubtedly, you get neat animations such as glowing rings, neon effects or even sci-fi charging graphics, instead of some boring battery icon.
The First Time I Tried It
I remember installing one of these apps just out of curiosity. It takes a couple of minutes to get running. I choose a neon circular animation, plug in my charger and all of a sudden, my phone is appearing as though it hopped out from the future.
It is such a small thing, but that second for me made charging my phone feel somewhat amusing.
Why You Actually Love These Apps
No lies, nearly every phone sorta looks the same these days. Same screens, same icons. These apps give you the opportunity to make your device feel somewhat like yours.
Just like seeing smooth animations seems satisfying as compared to a static icon. Those glowing effects, particularly at night, are stunning.
You. Do not. Need to be a tech wizard Just install the app, choose from a design, and grant a couple of permissions.
Bonus Info on Screen
Certain applications even display battery percent, temperature and charging speed in a formatted, stylish manner. Bringing you back down to earth—these apps are not perfect.
- Displays ads (which can become annoying)
- Use a little extra battery if animations are large
- You need permissions that you should read before enabling
Long story short, do not quickly install the first app you see. Pick one with good reviews.
What I Look for in a Good App
- Animation Clean but not extravagant (No Hot Shot)
- Low ads or at least not annoying ads
- Low battery usage
- Simple interface—no complicated settings
Sometimes less is more. A plain glowing ring gives a better result than an overdone animation, which stutters.
If you’re sick of the plain ol’ charging display and want something new, just give one a shot. At worst, uninstalled in 24h. At best, you become a crazy person like me and charge your phone just so you can watch that beautiful animation again.
