Mobile phones have become an integral part of our everyday life, and it’s very stressful to suddenly be unable to find your phone, whether you’ve misplaced it in a taxi, dropped it from your pocket, or hidden it under your mattress. If you own an Android phone, you can use the “Find My Device” feature to (hopefully) locate your phone.
Both Android and iPhone smartphones are equipped with built-in location-tracking tools. These services remain active as long as GPS location services are enabled in the phone’s settings, and the owner has granted permission for the application to access this data.
How to Check Someone’s Phone Location?
Many people wonder if it’s possible to find a phone’s location using just a phone number. However, there is no legitimate application that can provide you with the location of a phone based solely on its phone number. Any app claiming to do so on the Google Play Store is a scam.
The only reliable method to find a phone’s location is by installing tracking software on the device with the owner’s consent. The software needs the necessary permissions to access location services within the phone.
FIND YOUR PHONE WITH YOUR SMART HOME SPEAKER
If you’ve lost your phone and you’re certain it’s somewhere in your home, your smart speaker may be able to help. Ensure that both your device and your smart speaker are logged in with the same accounts, and it will assist you in finding your phone within minutes.
If you own a Google Home Hub™, you can simply say, “Okay Google, find my phone.” Your smart speaker will confirm the device you’re inquiring about and make it ring. The great thing is that this works even when your phone is turned off or on vibrate; it will still emit sound.
FIND YOUR PHONE WITH BLUETOOTH
Are you prone to forgetting where you left your phone? Don’t worry; you’re not alone. For an additional layer of protection, consider investing in Bluetooth® trackers.
All you need to do is attach the tracker to your phone. If your phone goes missing, even if it’s hiding in a sofa cushion, the tracker will set off an alarm on your phone, making it easier to locate.

Finding an Android Phone via Google’s Find My Device
Locating the whereabouts of your Android phone couldn’t be simpler. If you have location services enabled on your Android device, you can use the “Find My Device” page on Google to track its location.
Afterward, you’ll see a precise GPS location marked by a small green symbol on Google Maps.
On the left side of the map, you’ll find three services to assist you when your phone is not in your possession:
Play Sounds: This option allows your phone to sound an alarm for five minutes, even if the volume is set to silent. If you are nearby, you will hear it.
Secure Device: If you suspect your phone is lost or stolen, you can lock it remotely to ensure nobody can access it. It’s a crucial step to take to protect your data and privacy. Plus, it displays a contact number for anyone who might find your device.
WhatsApp Video & Voice Call Recording Methods
Erase Device: If you’ve given up all hope of retrieving your phone or you’re concerned about your data falling into the wrong hands, you can remotely erase everything from your device, returning it to factory settings.
By following these steps, you can increase your chances of quickly locating your lost or stolen phone and safeguarding your personal information.
